Faraz Alam is a seasoned Steadicam Operator and Director of Photography with over 15 years of experience in Pakistan’s media industry. Born on June 26, 1982, he discovered his passion for storytelling through the lens at an early age — a legacy inspired by his father, Shah Alam, who transitioned from acting to cinematography in East Pakistan’s film industry.

Although he initially pursued Business Management at IoBM, Faraz chose to follow his true calling behind the camera. His journey with Steadicam began in 2009, where he first honed his skills on a Glidecam before landing his debut film project in 2013 with Altered Skin, followed by Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. His breakthrough came in 2015 with Actor in Law, a project that firmly established his reputation as a skilled Steadicam Operator, particularly admired for his expertise in one-take shots.

Over the years, Faraz has worked on more than 50 feature films, along with numerous TV shows, commercials, and music videos — making him one of the most sought-after Steadicam Operators in the industry.
